Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 79,377 tonnes cargo including 64,821 tonnes import, 14,556 tonnes export cargo and 1,559 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 36,426 tonnes dry cargo including 16,617 tonnes general cargo; 11,911 tonnes fertiliser; 1,575 tonnes rice; 6,323 tonnes cement and 42,951 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Two ships namely Apl Brisbane and Harmony sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz Oel Victory and Oriental Rose are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Oel Victory, Sea Harvest, Oriental Rose, M.T. Swat and Fanta expected to sail on Thursday, while two vessels viz Adrekni and Caribbean Carrier expected to sail on Friday.
One vessel viz Iran Baabaei due to arrive on Thursday, while twelve ships namely Peter Paul, Maddona, YM Moon, Kota Hakim, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Corinthiakos, Hyundai Sprinter, Kota Gunawan, Iran Hesabi, Ruhunupura, Islamabad and Evdoxia are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 16,869 tonnes diesel oil; 18,927 tonnes iron ore; 1,800 tonnes chemicals; 989 tonnes fertiliser; 1,997 tonnes cement and 19,754 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely C.V. Nedlloyd America, C.V. Hanjin Kwangyang, M.T. Yanaseni and M.T. Difko Susanne sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Two vessels viz C.V. Anvil Point and M.V. Nordana are expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of two ships namely Liquid Success and Royal Ocean are currently at the outer anchorage. Eight vessels viz C.V. Nedlloyed America, C.V. Anvil Point, C.V. Hanjin Kwangyang, M.V. Tarpon Santiago, M.V. Nordana, M.T. Yanaseni, M.T. Difko Susanne and M.V. Captain George-L are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, fertiliser, chemicals, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely C.V. TS Nagoya, M.T. Maersk Barry and M.T. Liquid Success due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal, and Engro Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Three vessels viz C.V. Ibn Sina, M.T. Stella and M.T. Keefan with containers, furnace oil and diesel oil due to arrive on Thursday, while four more ships namely C.V. Sima Pride, C.V. Ningbo, C.V. CMA CGM Tulip and M.T. Torm Estrid with containers and diesel oil are due to arrive on Friday.
