Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to interior ministry and other respondents for June 12 in a petition filed by former federal minister Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar seeking permission to go abroad. The court also directed the law officer to appear before the court after seeking instructions from the concerned corners.
Ahmad Mukhtar contended in his petition that he wanted to go to the US for medical treatment and to visit his daughter but the interior ministry had placed his name on Exit Control List (ECL).
