CPNE team leaves for Nepal today

A ten-member delegation of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors led by CPNE President Syed Faseih Iqbal is leaving here tomorrow on a five-day tour of the Kingdom of Nepal.
It will meet the leading members of the Nepali Media and officials of the Government of Nepal and discuss ways and means for promoting bilateral ties between the media of the two countries and promote co-operation in the news field leading to better understanding between the two Asian nations.
The CPNE delegation after arrival in Nepal tomorrow will have a meeting and interaction with the Nepal Tourism Board and the Nepalese Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Prithvi Subba Gurung.
The CPNE delegation will later have a meeting with the Chairman of the Hotel Association of Pakistan followed by a meeting with the Chairman of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The CPNE delegation will have a meeting with the Nepalese Minister of Information and Communication Krishna Bahadur Mahara in the afternoon of June 15. The same afternoon the CPNE delegation will meet the Nepalese Foreign Minister Sahana Pradhan.
On June 16 the CPNE visiting team will visit Bakhtapur, one of the very well known tourism sites in Nepal and will see the cultural heritage at Bakhtapur Barbar Square. The CPNE delegation will also visit Nagarkot and will return to Khatmandu by car for a full day sightseeing of Pattan Valley.
The delegation will be meeting leading Nepali newspaper editors and would also be meeting the ambassador of Pakistan in Khatmandu. The CPNE delegation will return to Pakistan on the morning of June 18.
The members of the CPNE delegation led by Syed Faseih Iqbal are as follows: Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Aamer Mehmood, Mahmood-ul-Aziz, Javed Meher Shamsi, Syed Muhammad Munir Jillani, Mumtaz A. Tahir, Ghulam Akbar, Anwer Farooqui and Khushnood Ali Khan.-PR
