Five hostels to be built to fulfil UAF students' needs

Five new hostels would be constructed to fulfil the requirement of increasing enrolment. In this connection, a new hostel is under the construction at PARS and rest of four hostels, would also be constructed on urgent bases.
This was stated by Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad, Vice Chancellor UAF while addressing the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony organised by office of the Hall Warden at old senate hall here on Wednesday.
Dr Bashir Ahmad said sufficient lighting is provided at the lawns, terraces and roofs of the hostel for the purpose of study at night in this extremely hot weather. He said in this age of Information Technology, we must have to compete in all the fields of education and research with other universities of the world.
Professor Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, P.O. Students Affairs said that UAF administration is providing excellent residential facilities to boarders. He said new bathrooms are being constructed at international standards in all hostels. He said new playgrounds are being developed around the all hostels of the university to provide sports facilities to the students' community.
Professor Dr Muhammad Amjad, Hall Warden also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of office of the Hall Warden for the promotion of healthy co-curricular activities at the residential hostels. Free internet facilities have been provided to the students of all the hostels and this facility will be further enhanced at room level, he added.
