PSIC to set up four CFCs in Punjab

To promote small and cottage industries on modern lines the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) is setting up four modern Common Facility Centres (CFCs) in the province.
The centres will be completed by the end of this year, Punjab Minister for Industries, Ajmal Cheema said while presiding over a PSIC meeting here on Wednesday. He said one CFC is being set up in Lahore in Quaid-i-Azam (Kot Lakhpat) industrial estate.
The meeting was told that PSIC will instal a dye-making unit in Sargodha where some 200 cottage industries are functioning. The CFCs will work under supervision of PSIC, and after a year will be handed over to the concerned chambers of commerce and trade organisations.
