As many as 608 more persons have fallen victim to gastro-enteritis during the last six days (June 8-13), bringing the total number of gastro patients since May 7 to 2458.
Dr Muhammad Fahim, director emergency ward, Nishtar Hospital talking to APP on Thursday said that so far three persons have died of the disease Habib (35) of Multan, Khuda Bux (70) of Mian Channu and Mst Nasim Bibi (65) resident of Vehari. He said of the 608 patients in the past week, 388 were admitted due to their seriousness, while the others were treated and sent home.
