Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 71,197 tonnes cargo including 31,521 tonnes import, 39,676 tonnes export cargo and 2,238 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 54,197 tonnes dry cargo including 31,726 tonnes general cargo; 14,000 tonnes coal; 4,226 tonnes cement; 4,245 tonnes rock phosphate and 17,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Pacific Arrow, Ninos Maersk Willow, Pacific Highway, Chem Baltic and Y M Fortune sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels viz Ltc Calvin P. Titas, Oel Shreyas, Emirates Jumeirah, Pacific Highway, Maersk Willow, Valbella and Golina are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Sea Brilliance and Islamabad expected to sail on Saturday, while three vessels viz Bunga Delima, Oel Shreyas and Soon Fu, expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Bunga Delima and Igwt due to arrive on Saturday, while six ships namely Gallant Wave, Oel Victory, Corinthiakos, Pontonikis, Dalian and Pontica are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven ships namely M.T. Johar, Hartati, Nordwoge, Mol Ability, China Star Hyundai Stride and Al-Wakra are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 23,354 tonnes crude oil; 5,300 tonnes edible oil, 5,600 tonnes iron ore; 2,603 tonnes rice; 1,295 tonnes general cargo and 51,221 tonnes containerised cargo. M.V. Adhua sailed out to sea on Saturday morning. Two vessels viz C.V. CSAV Ningbo and C.V. CMA CGM Turkey are expected to sail on Saturday. Container vessel Pacheco is currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz C. V. CSAV Ningbo, C.V. CMA CGM Turkey, M.V. Khairpur, M.T. New Seto Kaze, M.V. BBC Asia, M.T. Poppi and M.V. Adhua are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, edible oil, crude oil, general cargo and iron ore respectively during the report period. Container vessel MSC Nederland due to take berth at Container Terminal on Saturday.
M.T. Despina due to arrive on Saturday, while four more ships namely M.T. Yanaseni, M.T. Oriental Miho, M.T. Al Mansorauh and M.V. Captain George-L with chemicals, diesel oil and iron ore are due to arrive on Sunday.
