Three Pakistani tribesmen were killed on Thursday when their tractor hit a landmine planted by suspected militants in a troubled region bordering Afghanistan, officials said.
The blast happened near a security forces check-post at Khapeyanga village in the Kurram tribal district as the men, all members of the same family, were going to collect firewood, a security official told AFP.
It was not immediately clear who planted the landmine but similar incidents regularly occur in other parts of the border region, where pro-Taliban militants are active against Pakistani security forces.
