The Botany Department of the GC University Lahore in collaboration with the Weed Science Society of Pakistan is holding 8th National Weed Science Conference here at the GCU from 25th June. The opening ceremony of the conference would be organised at the Bokhari auditorium of the varsity on 25th June (Monday) at 9:00 am.
The topic of the conference would be the 'Judicious weed management-road to sustainability'. The vice-chancellor GCU Lahore Professor Dr Khalid Aftab would be the guest of honour of the inaugural ceremony. Research scholars, plant scientists, experts and botanists from all over the country would participate in the conference and present their research papers.
IT PROFESSIONAL HONOURED: A faculty member of the Computer Science department of GC University Lahore Tariq Malik was awarded 'Microsoft award' for extending his services to promote Information Technology in Pakistan.
