Adult and juvenile specimens of 'Phthirus pubis' (pubic lice) hang on to two human hairs. They transfer to a new 'host' during sexual intercourse or when people share the same bed. Without a host, they die within 12 hours.

Nicole Ottawa, a brilliant self-taught photographer was born in 1965 in the city if Leipheim. She completed her bachelors in biology at the Freie University, Berlin. She later moved on to scoring a prestigious internship at the Institute for Scientific Photography and the Schloss Weussenstein 1994 course on ‘scanning electron microscopy’ from the University of Munster.
