CAA regional director visits Southern Punjab airports

As part of its continued efforts to achieve the objectives including efficiency, optimum utilisation of available resources, more emphasis on training, performance based-rewards in the carrier progression to maximise value of human capital, Brigadier Pervez Bashir Khan (Retd), Regional Director, (North) Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) undertook a visit of Southern Punjab airports.
He met with the officers and staff of CAA and other airport functionaries and carried out inspection of both land side and airside areas. He also addressed the officers and staff on the aspects of restructuring process and other measures pertaining to the efficient functioning and viable objectives of CAA.
A CAA spokesman said here on Friday that on the final day of his visit he held a conference with airport managers (APMs) at Multan airport, which was attended by Ashfaq Hussain, APM Lahore, M Ayaz Jadoon, APM Multan, M Mustafa Khan Mirani, APM Walton Aerodrome, Tariq M Gill, APM Bahawalpur, Sabhiun Nisar, APM DG Khan, Malik Mazhar Hussain, APM Faisalabad and Elahi Baksh Mahar, APM Rahim Yar Khan.
During the conference, the regional director north emphasised on ways and means to cut down expenditure with a view to minimising the losses in PoL, Electricity and defaults of payment of various concessionaires and other departments. He, on this occasion, also stressed the need for close co-ordination among the airport functionaries for the achievement of best in the class service at the airports.
