Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 129,270 tonnes cargo including 91,183 tonnes import, 38,087 tonnes export cargo and 2,291 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 73,654 tonnes dry cargo including 47,352 tonnes general cargo; 6,016 tonnes fertiliser; 14,142 tonnes coal; 6,144 tonnes cement and 55,616 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Y M Energy, Hyundai Advance, Bright Ocean-2 and Al-Jaber 18 sailed out to sea during the report period.
Three vessels viz Iran Tabatabaei, Mol Asante and Sp 5-Eric G Gibson are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Hartati, Corinthiakos, Iran Tabatabaei and Mol Asante expected to sail on Saturday, while six vessels viz Asian Queen, Datian, CMA CGM Gardenia, Golina, Viscaya and Makran expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Oel Trust, CMA CGM Gardenia and Hanjin Istanbul due to arrive on Saturday, while eight ships namely Prem Pride, Lalazar, Rose, Conti Express, Jitra Bhum, Bunga Kenari, Aoyama and Beluga Eternity are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven ships namely Oel Esteem, Wan Hai-301, Iran Hesabi, Spilit, Lucky Arrow, Sea Princess and Ocean Frontier are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 37,000 tonnes furnace oil; 1,808 tonnes edible oil; 4,247 tonnes cement and 37,927 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely C.V. London Senator, C.V. Sima Pars, M.T. Doris and M.T. Grigoroussa-I sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz C.V. CSAV Ningbo is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of two ships namely Norfolk Express and Keefan carrying containers and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. Five vessels viz C.V. CSAV Ningbo, C.V. Sima Pars, M.V. Al-Mansourah, M.T. Doris and M.T. Grigoroussa-I are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Two ships namely Norfolk Express and Keefan due to take berths at Container Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Saturday. Two container vessels viz C.V. MSC Zanzibar and C.V. MSC Aurora are due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship MT Al-Maqwa is due to arrive on Sunday.
