Trees and heat

25 Jun, 2007

Karachiites are experiencing a grain of the so-called global warming in its worst form. Lack of human feelings and brotherhood, has contributed to this havoc. America had been till late refusing to share the major wrong it has done along with other developed countries.
The Kyoto convention has continued to be violated by the US, while every one else was ready to comply. They are holding back their share to check global warming. Even glaciers are melting which through centuries had never budged an inch.
However, it is gratifying that besides being ready to share cost of global warming India, according to the latest reports, has succeeded in lowering the heat level through special designs.
Development works continue with progress in the country. High rise buildings are under construction after cutting down green and tall trees. Is it the only way to build new homes?
Can we stop this ugly move? First of all let us improve the habit of tree plantations at home, schools, colleges, hospitals and even on roadsides. Then we may be save from heat strokes, How people will survive without fresh air in those under constructions buildings? In the meantime, the rising temperature is inviting local ecologists and scientists to find out the reason of excessive heat for the last one week or so. And also to seek remedy and solution of the serious matter.
