CDGK to set up zonal office in KIA: Kamal

Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has said the city government is establishing its zonal office and subsidiary departments in Korangi Industrial Area (KIA) to resolve basic problems there. He was speaking at a reception held by Korangi Tanneries Association.
District Coordination Officer (DCO) Javed Hanif, officers of the city government, prominent industrialists and traders were also present on the occasion. The Nazim said the CDGK officers would be deputed with the powers to make timely decisions to solve basic problems of the area.
They will also be allocated proper budget and other facilities in this regard, he added. He pointed out that industrial areas were never given preference by the past governments and this led to deterioration in these areas.
