The Department of Pathology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, arranged a six-day workshop on 'Necropsy (Post-mortem) Practice and its Vetro-legal Implementations in Animals' for the university teachers and field veterinarians.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz inaugurated the workshop on Tuesday. Speaking in the inaugural session, the Vice-Chancellor said that such types of workshops were not only beneficial for the university teachers but also for the veterinarians working in the field. He appreciated the efforts of the Pathology Department for arranging this useful workshop.
Pathology Department Chairman Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry and Professor Dr Ashiq Hussain Cheema are the resource persons of the workshop, which comprises lectures and technical sessions. The participants would be trained on various aspects of post-mortem and vetrolegal implementation in animals, post-mortem techniques, histo-pathological conditions of nervous system, skin, diseases of urinary system, digestive system of animals and modern techniques of histopathology. The workshop will continue till June 30, 2007.
