The Karachi Port handled 110,090 tonnes cargo including 75,711 tonnes import, 34,379 tonnes export cargo and 3,989 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 39,412 tonnes dry cargo including 30,666 tonnes general cargo; 4,000 tonnes coal; 4,746 tonnes cement and 70,678 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Wan Hai-301, Jitra Bhum, Lalazar and Beluga Eternity sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Split, Bunga Kenari, Pacheco, Apl Shenzhan, Rose and Chemstar Brave are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Apl Shenzhan, Al Ihsaa and Lucky Arrow expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz YM Faha, Prem Pride and Rose expected to sail on Thursday.
Seven vessels viz YM Faha, Hyundai Future, YM Sun, Cruiser, Bl Saida, Ocean Frontier and Banglar Maya due to arrive on Wednesday, while six ships namely Peterpaul, Iran Hesabi, Dimitris Yll, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Sea Princess and Ocean Dominanco are due to arrive on Thursday.
Container ship namely Carina sailed out to sea during the report period. Two vessels viz C.V. Nedlloyed Asia and C.V. Maersk Carolina expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of four ships namely MSC Aurora, ACX Tsubaki, Oriental Miho and Al-Maqwa carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. Three container vessels viz C.V. MSC Carina, C.V. Maersk Carolina and C.V. Nedlloyed Asia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and cement respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CV ACX Tsubaki, C.V. MSC Aurora, M.T. Al Maqwa and M.T. Oriental Miho due to take berths at Container Terminal, Fotco Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Five vessels viz C.V. Lucien, C.V. Emirates Adam, C.V. Pacheco, M.T. Pegasus and M.T. Sinar Agra with containers, edible oil and chemicals are due to arrive on Wednesday, while five more ships namely C.V. Al Ihsaa, MT Negotiator, M.V. Guang Ming Feng, M.V. Captain georg-L and M.V. Humburgger with containers edible oil, coke and iron ore are due to arrive on Thursday.
