BRIndex30 gains 68.26 points

On Monday, the BRIndex30 opened in the positive zone at 15,486.36, with an upward gap 77.66 points, and remained there for whole of the trading time, closing at 15,476.96 with a net positive change of 68.26 points, or 0.44 percent.
It experienced intra-day high of 15,530.67 and low of 15,441.33 points. The volume amounted to 224,625,800 shares, which was 54.77 percent of market total and 79.09 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 410,121,140 and 284,026,660 shares, respectively.
BR Tech & Comm Index was the most active sector. It closed at 2,042.61 with an upward change of 76.86 points and percentage change of 3.91. The volume of this sector was 78,270,300 shares. BR Cement Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,989.80 with a net positive change of 20.52 points and percentage change of 1.04. Its volume was 70,013,300 shares.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 6,252.17 with a net negative change of -35.76 points and percentage change of -0.57. The turnover for this sector was 57,528,500 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,232.06 with a net positive change of 45.53 points and percentage change of 2.08. The volume was 35,815,900 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,570.35 with an upward change of 7 points and percentage change of 0.45. The turnover for this sector was 18,429,200 shares, which was the lowest among BR indices.
