The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) wants an early completion of land acquisition process in Sector G-14/1,2,3, which is hampering development work.
Land Acquisition Collector (LAC) of the district administration was asked to settle the issue concerning land acquisition so that the development work in the sub sectors of G-14 could be completed well in time, Assistant Director Technical FGEHF, Jamil Khan Marwat told APP Thursday.
He said they have urged the concerned department to complete the assessment of built up property and hand over the possession of vacant land. "An agreement setting an amount of Rs 590,000 per kanal was signed with the authorities concerned and a total of Rs 1.5 billion was submitted accordingly," he added.
But so far the process is not finalised by the concerned quarters, he added. He informed that it was also agreed that the LAC would accommodate the affected people in some other private society and the FGEHF would not be bound to provide further plots to these affected people. But now considering the problems of affected people of this sector, FGEHF is revising the layout of Sector G-15 near GT Road to accommodate them, he added.
Moreover, he urged the authorities to take notice of the illegal construction in the sub sectors of G-14.
