First DC Rangers (Sindh) National Junior Squash Championship to be held from 9 to 14 July, this was announced during a press conference in Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Sports Complex on Thursday.
Deputy Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Brigadier Taqdees Ahmed, Jehangir Khan the former world champion who is also the co-chairman of the organising committee and Brigadier Faqah-ul-Rehman, Commandant Sachal Rangers addressed the conference.
Answering the mediamen, Jehangir Khan said that media must play their due role in promoting healthy activities like squash and other sports. In this regard, he expressed great pleasure on holding the championship for under-19 Boys & Girls. This, he said, would promote the cause of squash and other sports among talented youth of the nation.
Brigadier Faqah-ul-Rehman told the mediamen that from 9 July to 14 July, a media cell will be established within the sports complex which will be quipped with Internet, fax, telephone, photocopier, transport and other allied facilities for the mediamen. The opening ceremony will be held on 11 July and the finals will be played on 14 July.-PR
