Latifabad Taluka Nazim Engineer Sabir Hussein Qaimkhani and City Taluka Nazim Javaid Jabbar have met Director Agriculture (Extension) Naeem Ahmed Korijo and discussed problems of new Sabzi Mandi Halanaka and vegetable market, Hali Road.
Members of Sabzi Mandi Haji Altaf Memon, Noorul Islam, Javeed Ahmed and members of market committee Shaukat Mastooe, Waris Ali, and Mohammad Akram were also present on this occasion.
The Latifabad Taluka Nazim urged the Sabzi Mandi committee to maintain cleanliness and healthy environment and construct the roads and other infrastructure in the market. City Nazim Javeed Jabar also stressed the provision of fundamental facilities in new Sabzi Mandi.
Director Agriculture (Extension) Naeem Ahmed Korijo has said that the Nazims and members of the market committee should work together to develop the Sabzi Mandi in better way.
Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries Chairman Najeem Ulladin Qureshi and chairman present committee Mohammad Akram Arain in a statement criticised the market committee and termed it responsible for million of rupees loss done to brokers. They said that the market committee received taxes from fruits and vegetable markets but did not provide any facility to them.
They observed that there was no cleanliness in Sabzi Mandi, which was causing losses to traders and on the other side diseases are spreading. Administrator market committee Shaukat Mastooi said that the market committee had provided the new tracker and Rs 40,000 in cash to the sweepers for the cleanliness of Sabzi Mandi. Latifabad Taluka Nazim Engineer Sabir Hussein Qaemkhani had promised to provide the vehicles for dumping garbage, which was not met yet, he added.
