On Tuesday, the BRIndex30 opened in the positive zone, at 15,345.92, with an upward gap of 24.52 points. It remained in the green zone for almost half of the trading time but dropped afterwards, closing at 15,215.94 with a net negative change of -105.46 points or -0.69 percent.
It registered intra-day high of 15,434.18 and low of 15,167.62. The volume of BRIndex30 was 210,031,200 shares, which was 49.14 percent of KSE All Share and 80.24 percent of KSE-100.

BR Cement Index was the third most active sector. It closed with a turnover of 56,242,000 shares. It saw a fall of -35.09 points or -1.72 percent, closing at 2,004.94. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,264.51 with a net negative change of -12.11 points and percentage change of -0.53. The turnover was 42,448,900 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,582.93 with a fall of -19.99 points or -1.25 percent. The turnover for this sector was 19,080,200 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices.
