12 Jul, 2007

The Central Chairman Pakistan Hardware Merchants Association (PHMA), Sardar Usman Ghani, has expressed its concern over killings of Chinese people in Charsada. He said China has exemplary relations with Pakistan and this type of incident will leave negative effects on Pak-China relations.
He said a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Pakistan Hardware Merchants Association and East China Hardware Chamber of Commerce and Industry under which Chinese would start investment in hardware industry in Pakistan on transfer of technology basis.
Likewise, incident will leave not only negative impact on the investment but also on the economic activities between the two sides, as the Chinese investors will feel unsafe under such circumstances. He demanded of the government to investigate the incidents and bring the culprits into account so that such incidents could be averted in future.
