13 Jul, 2007

North West Frontier Province Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Orakzai and Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani have jointly approved a project for provision of free quality education to 180 talented and deserving students of the Frontier province and tribal areas in the 11 top educational institutions of the province.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting attended by the governor and the chief minister the other day. It may be mentioned here that talented students from poor families of the province and tribal areas had no access to standard educational institutions due to their parent's poor financial position as a result their talent was going wasted.
In order to hunt and groom the talented students of the poor families, the governor and the chief minister approved the project that would select 180 students of class seven and provide them quality education plus boarding, lodging and provision of other necessities up to the intermediate level. All the expenditure on the 180 students would be jointly borne by the provincial government and the Fata secretariat.
