Lal Masjid operation is a clear message to Pakistanis that America wants to destroy the immediate base of Islam and used puppets to fulfil its objectives, said Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Siddiq, in charge of Jamia Islamia Taleemul Quran, Rawalpindi on Saturday.
"It was a naked aggression by the security forces that were dancing on the tune of Americans and they used all means to sabotage the dialogue process between Lal Masjid administration and the government," he said while addressing a press conference.
It is an eye opener for the people of Pakistan that more than 250 female students of Jamia Hafsa have gone missing, he said, adding that the names of these students have not been given in any list so where they have gone.
He feared that army personnel might have kidnapped them. He praised the role played by Supreme Court in Lal Masjid episode saying that Supreme Court should constitute a high level judicial commission to probe into the entire issue from day one.
"We are sure this high level judicial commission would expose the hidden hand involved in Lal Masjid dialogue failure," he added. He was concerned over mass killing of Hufaz alleging that President Musharraf had pleased his foreign masters with the blood of innocent students of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, who were custodians of Holy Quran.
"The bodies of Shuhda (martyrs) have been taken to unknown destinations to hide the death toll," he claimed. "We have decided to launch a countrywide campaign for protection of religious Madaris and will not allow the government to snatch the freedom and identity of Madaris," he said.
He said that the Tahafuz-e-Madaris Conventions announced by Wafaqul Madaris al Arabia would prove to be successful. He said that Ulema would not leave Maulana Abdul Aziz and his companions alone in their struggle for the supremacy of Islam.
