The government on Sunday announced transfers of Political Agents of North Waziristan and Bajur, and District Co-ordination Officer of Buner. According to a private TV channel, Bajur Political Agent Shakeel Qadir had failed to check attacks on govt officials and buildings.
The District Co-ordination Officer of Buner Shareefullah will be the new Political Agent of Bajur. On the other hand, local Taliban have announced rule of 'Sharia' in the agency. North Waziristan Political Agent Pirzada Khan has also been shuffled after he survived suicide attack two weeks ago.
