Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) has said that physical fitness and mental health are essential ingredients for making positive contributions towards socio-economic and cultural development of the country.
The governor said that the outlets of the Salt'n Pepper in Karachi and Lahore are making appreciable efforts in this regard to build a healthy and mentally alert society, aware of their rights as well as obligations towards the motherland.
Governor Khalid Maqbool said this while talking to Managing Director Mahmood Akbar and Chief Executive Officer Mrs Nina Akbar after inauguration of newly constructed Anarkali Lounge at the Sukh Cha'n Wellness Club (SCWC) in Gulberg on Saturday night.
The governor was introduced to the large number of guests belonging to different walks of life by Managing Director Mahmood Akbar and CEO Mrs Nina Akbar as he took the round duly appreciating the newly developed facility at the SCWC for the people who preferred good taste in food and conducive and quiet atmosphere for their functions.
The governor felicitated Salt'n Pepper famed couple Nina Akbar and Mahmood Akbar on this commendable achievement of the Anarkali Lounge and wished them all the best in their future ventures.
The governor was informed that the Anarkali Lounge has an estimated seating capacity for more than 400 persons and can serve as the venue for sorts of functions.
