A tremor on Sunday shook parts of North West Frontier Province including areas ruined by the October 2005 killer earthquake, officials said. People in the provincial capital Peshawar, Swat, Shangla, Batagram and Mansehra districts felt the earthquake early evening.
A measuring center put its intensity at 4.8. There was no immediate report of causalities or damage either from the region or officials. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Koh Hindukush range of Himalaya, 300 kilometers north of Peshawar.
