Security steps for devotees ordered

Muhammad Ali Barohi, Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Housing, Works and Environment has asked for installation of close circuit cameras and security related equipment for providing secure environment to the devotees visiting the mausoleum of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar at Sehwan Sharif.
The committee meeting held at the Parliament House on Monday also examined the cost estimates given by National Construction Limited (NCL) for cladding of the dome and waterproofing of the shrine. It also studied the joint report of the NCL in an effort to remove the ambiguities as well as to expedite work on the main dome. The cladding of the main dome must be done with gold glass mosaic tiles to give it a permanent and durable look.
The preparation of the PC-I document would also be done quickly, it was decided after the Committee received a briefing from the NCL regarding the cost of dome water proofing. Senators Shujaul Mulk, Bibi Yasmeen Shah, Dr Abdul Khaliq Pirzada, Mir Mohabat Khan Marri, Sardar Mehmud Khan, Farooq Hamid Naik, Syed Muhammad Hussain also attended the meeting in which the Housing and Works Ministry was represented by Secretary Muhammad Saleh Shah.
