The 2nd flour milling conference is being held in the provincial metropolis on July 20-21 under the aegis of Indo-Pak Flour Mills Confederation and Flour Milling News Pakistan. Punjab Minister for Food Hussain Jehanian Gardezi will be the chief guest at the inaugural session of this two-day event.
While Abdul Ali Kakar, Niaz Ahmad, Mumtaz Sheikh and Sheikh Akhtar Hussain (former chairmen of Pakistan Flour Mills Association) will the guest of honours. This was stated by the chief organiser of the event, Dr Bilal Aslam Sufi here on Wednesday. A film will be shown at the opening session of this event on production of flour through flour milling, as the subject of the conference is 'flour prepared through milling is better than traditionally prepared flour,' Sufi added.
The conference will be addressed by Dr Talat Pasha on Silos Technology, Dr Qadir Bukhsh Baloch Agricultural Commissioner of Pakistan on prevailing situation of wheat, Muhammad Sarwar Mirza, PARC Director Mubarak Ahmad (Modernisation of flour milling) Dr Bilal Sufi (Supply-demand of flour in Pakistan) and others.
Another session has been dedicated on the subject of mixing of iron in flour.
Senator Kamil Ali Agha would be the chief guest at the final session of this event in which Mian Muhammad Riaz and Dr Bilal Aslam Sufi would present recommendations of the conference.
