CPNE condemns murder of Mahmud's sister

The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has strongly condemned the brutal life attempt on Mahmud-ul-Aziz's sister last week. Aziz is a veteran journalist and chief editor of the United Press of Pakistan (UPP). Mrs Atiya Ameenuddin was killed by unknown assailants during a robbery at her home.
Syed Fasieh Iqbal, President of CPNE, and Wamiq Zuberi, Secretary General of the CPNE, condemning the depressing and heinous murder, said that the law and order in the city, especially in DHA, was deteriorating, No one is safe anywhere, and the establishment of the country is playing on the music of "sab theek hai". Both CPNE senior officials appealed to the Sindh government to take immediate measures to arrest the killers.
Iqbal and Zuberi also prayed for the lady and invoked Almighty for the rest and peace for her soul in the life hereafter. They also empathised with the family members who have lost a loving member and mother. Iqbal showed his deep association with Aziz and his family and assured him complete support of the CPNE to bring the assailants to justice.-PR
