Political leaders, others hail Supreme Court decision in CJP case

Hundreds of people came out of their homes after the historic judgement of the Supreme Court. Youths and political activists shouted slogans in favour of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. Vice Chairman of Pakistan People's Party Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, while commenting on the judgement of Supreme Court, said that it is a victory of judiciary and the bar.
This decision would emerge good effects on country's politics and set a new direction for the political forces. Former speakers of National Assembly Syed Fakhar Imam and Sahibzada Farooq Ali Khan said that it is a landslide victory of the masses who had struggled against dictatorial rule of General Pervez Musharraf.
Opposition leaders Begum Tehmina Daultana, MNA, Begum Memona Hashmi, MNA, Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan, MNA of PML-N, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, MNA President of PPP Punjab,Malik Liaquat Ali Dogar, MNA, Ex-Mayor Malik Salahuddin Dogar, District President Khalid Hanif Lodhi of PPP have hailed the judgement describing it a landmark in Pakistan's history. Local newspapers brought out special supplement on the SC judgement in Multan.
