The graduation ceremony of 'Flight Safety Officers Course' was held at the Institute of Air Safety, PAF Base, Masroor, where Air Marshal Mirza Zafar Hussain, Air Officer Commanding Southern Air Command, PAF, was the chief guest. On arrival, the chief guest was received by Air Commodore Wasim Ahmed, Officer Commanding, Institute of Air Safety.
The course comprised officers from Pakistan Armed Forces and friendly countries including Bangladesh, Jordan, Nigeria, Niger and Saudi Arabia. Air Commodore Wasim presented the end-course report. He appraised various subjects taught and exercises conducted during the course. The chief guest awarded the certificates to the successful participants and the 'Chief of Air Staff Trophy' to Flight Lieutenant Arslan Samad for best performance in the course.
Air Marshal Zafar, in his address, emphasised the importance of Flight Safety Officers in every aspect of aviation. He highlighted the significance of Flight Safety Officers in prevention of accidents. Stressing the role of FSOs, he said that only sincere efforts, dedication and total commitment could help them to achieve a safer environment, and this could only be possible if they adopted safety as a value in their lives. The chief guest appreciated the efforts put in by the Institute in imparting quality education to Flight Safety Officers.-PR
