Sahiwal, Peshawar B, Karachi C won their matches in the PFF Youth Soccer Cup 2007. The 26 teams of Youth Football Development Centre (YDFC) are taking part in the ongoing competition in various centres of Pakistan.
The players born on or after 1 January 1989 are eligible to play in the PFF U18 events whose top four teams will get the privilege of earning berth in coming 19th National U18 Soccer Championship 2007.
Peshawar B edged out Nowshera 1-0 with goal coming in the 38th minute. The coaches of two teams were Peshawar B (Gohar Zaman) and Nowshera (Qazi Wajid Ali). Striker Shakeel Ahmed got the winner at Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar.
Nauman Ibrahim-coached Sahiwal got rid of Lahore B 1-0 at Iqbal Park Sports Complex. According to Match Commissioner Muhammad Rasheed, head coach of Pakistan Olympic team, the match winner appeared in the 74th minute through the stunning drive of Umair Nawaz.
Two Faisalabad's team formed by Zahir Ahmed and Tanveer Ahmed were locked 0-0. The C and B team of Faisalabad failed to utilise the advantage of lovely grass of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and failed to strike the back of the net due to lack of ideas.
Karachi C overwhelmed Karachi B 2-0 at Karachi, CDGK Stadium. Karachi C, under former PIA and Pakistan international Salim Patni, surged ahead in the eighth minute when Samad's left footer proved to be too much for goalkeeper. Winger Arsalan Asif Made it 2-0 in the 77th minute, converting the penalty kick, awarded to them after the opposition defender Madad Khan committed a fatal mistake Karachi B, under Pakistan U13 coach Nasir Ismail, also forced chances but failed to score.
