An eight-member delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Monday left for a 10-day tour to Germany, Belgium and France to explore new business avenues and enhance trade. The delegation will have joint and one-to-one meetings at various chambers in the three counties.
The LCCI business delegation will also meet different business people to promote the country's image so that the flow of foreign direct investment could get a boost. In the first phase, the delegation will meet Pakistan Ambassador in Germany Asif Ezdi, Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry office-bearers and those of the German Near and Middle East Association.
The LCCI team will also visit the Offenbach, Dusseldorf and Brussels Chambers of Commerce and Industries and meet the businessmen. The delegation will then attend a meeting in the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The LCCI delegation comprised of Mubasher Sheikh, LCCI executive committee member and his deputy Kashif Younas Mehar, Mian Misbahur Rehman, Mian Muzaffar Ali, Muhammad Ayub, Mian Shahid Raza, Hakim Ali Bhatti, Faisal Saud Bhatti, and Bilal Arshad Bajwa. Junaid Iqbal Sheikh will join the delegation in Belgium. LCCI President Shahid Hassan Sheikh said he hoped the visit would further cement the trade ties and initiate joint ventures with their counterparts.
