QESCO authorities arrested 16 persons red handed while stealing electricity in different parts of provincial capital. QESCO sources said here Thursday that QESCO special team consisting of XEN City Division Muhammad Ashraf Tareen.
SDO Sariab, accompanied by Police party raided Pashtoonabad, Sariab road and Satellite Town and arrested 16 persons for stealing electricity under 39A Electricity Act.
Their cases were presented in the WAPDA Magistrate Court who on find them guilty fined Rs 72 200/-. Minimum amount of fine was Rupees 1000/- and maximum 10, 000/-. Two persons were sent to jails for non-payment of fine. Hundreds of kundas were also removed during raids and operation.
