Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 104,680 tonnes cargo including 82,887 tonnes import, 21,793 tonnes export cargo and 2,685 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 61,957 tonnes dry cargo including 24,592 tonnes general cargo; 6,106 tonnes fertiliser; 15,952 tonnes coal; 5,264 tonnes rock phosphate; 2,469 tonnes scrap; 7,574 tonnes cement and 42,723 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Dolorse, Kuo Chang, Gulf Bridge and MT Lalazar sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Scotland, OEL Spirit, Sp 5 Eric G Gibson and Tourioti are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Golina, MT Johar, Andrea-D, Maria, Peonia and Sp 5 Eric G Gibson expected to sail on Saturday, while three vessels viz Asian Queen, Bunga Terasek and OEL Spirit are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Bunga Terasek, Maria Bulker and Sea Princess due to arrive on Saturday, while eight ships namely Chemstar Brave, Vevlgeniv Titov, Hayley Nadhi, Santa Isabella, Ninos, Iran Baabaei, Ocean Friend and Carla are due to arrive on Sunday.

The cargo comprised of 1,299 tonnes sulphur; 4,626 tonnes rapeseeds and 43,095 tonnes containerised cargo.
MT Oriental Miho sailed out to sea during the report period. Four vessels viz CV Sima Pars, CV Lucien, Maersk Novazzano and MT Asha Himani are expected to sail on Saturday.
Container vessel Norfolk Express carrying containers is currently at the outer anchorage. Five vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Sima Pars, CV Lucien, CV MV Yantian Sea and MT Asha Himani are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rapeseeds and sulphur respectively during the report period.
Container vessel Norfolk Express due to take berth at Container Terminal on Saturday. Two vessels MT Al-Maqwa and MV Sinai due to arrive on Saturday, while six more ships namely CV Nikita, CV Emirates Gondwana, CV Borneo, MT Gemini, MT Gennaro Ievoli and MT Shad Wan are due to arrive on Sunday.
