08 Aug, 2007

The Housing Foundation of Pakistan (HFP) seems to have excluded officers working in the statistics division from the housing programme meant for officers of BPS 17 to 22, it is learnt. Though the project to be launched for all in-service officers of the federal government, it is in fact meant for only federally constituted occupational groups like CSS and Economic group.
The applications for the forms are to be submitted by August 31.
Source stated that nearly all officers of the statistics division, are not considered among the federally constituted occupational groups, creating lot of annoyance and unrest among the officers employed in the division.
This discrimination extends to officers of the population census organisation, agriculture census commission also, sources stated.
The benefit for allotment of plot is meant for the officers in service on or after July 1, 2006.
It may be mentioned that the Pakistan Housing Authority is launching two housing projects. One scheme relates to officers of the federally constituted group and the other is of construction of 37,000 apartments for low paid employees on ownership basis.
