Sialkot district administration has finalised necessary precautionary measures to cope with any eventuality during current monsoon season in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of the district.
Official sources told Business Recorder here on Wednesday that the district has been divided into 15 sectors, 32 sub-sectors while 43 relief camps had also been established. The tehsil wise break up of relief camps is Sialkot tehsil 12, Pasrur tehsil 9, Daska tehsil 7 and Sambrial tehsil 5.
Under the plan district administration had focused on six-disaster management services like rescues and evacuation services, health services, transport services, communication services, relief and welfare services and security services at district and sub-divisional level.
Similarly, sufficient medicines had also been provided in all relief camps while various medical teams had been constituted for providing medical treatment facilities to the masses during the suspected floods and monsoon rains in Sialkot district. Besides, the district administration had also set up tehsil flood control centres in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils, while the district flood control centre is functioning round the clock. Meanwhile, overall situation is normal in all tehsils of the district.
