JUI Hind chief proposes setting up modern education institutions

Secretary General, Jamiat-e-Ulemai Hind, Maulana Syed Arshad Madni on Wednesday proposed Pakistani ulema to establish private modern education institutions in Pakistan to follow the government prescribed syllabi and appoint teachers equipped with modern education and skill.
He was addressing members of the parliament and provincial ministers of NWFP government at Frontier House, Islamabad. On the occasion he said that over all environment of such institutions should be Islamic. He said that by doing so majority of people will send their children to such schools to help protect the future generations.
With regard to the relationship between Jamiate Ulamai Hind and Jamiat Ulamai Islam (Pakistan), he said that geographical divisions could not break their spiritual relations. He said that our predecessors offered unprecedented sacrifices against the British imperialism but when one looks at their lives and struggle they through out worked for the services to human being as this is the path of the prophets.
Chief Minister of NWFP Mohammad Akram Khan Durrani, Provincial Ministers Asif Iqbal Daudzai, Education Minister Fazle Ali Haqqani, Irrigation Hafiz Akhtar Ali, a large number of senators, MNAs and MPAs were also present on the occasion.
They warmly received the Indian Muslim leader and, as stated by JUI leader MPA Maulana Attaur Rehman in his welcome remarks by seeing such leaders they feel quench their thirst. Chief Minister Durrani warmly welcomed him on behalf of the people and government of NWFP and said that they will be honoured if the Indian Muslim leader could extend his stay in the Frontier province. He offered him a few days stay in the scenic Nathia Gali.
Maulana Madani said that service to humanity has been the basis of the Jamiate and the Ulama considered it to be the inheritance of the lives of all the holy prophets. He called upon the Ulama to concentrate upon the reformation of society and go to the people at their doorstep by forming and facilitating committees for this purpose at all the villages level.
The Chief Minister of NWFP Mohammad Akram Khan Durrani on this occasion stated that they feel proud of such leaders as those of Jamiate Ulamai Hind. Education Minister Maulana Fazle Ali Haqqani presented a copy of the report on the reforms and promotion of education in NWFP initiated by the MMA government.
