Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has asked the consumers to adopt safety measures in the wake of recent increase in fatal incidents of electrocution. The Pesco in this regard suggested to earth electrical appliances, replace all worn out wires and avoid touching the electricity appliances/cables with wet hands.
Further, the consumers have been asked to be careful and attentive while using electric water pumps, fans and avoid tying their pets and cattle with electric poles and towers. It has warned the women inmates not to use metal wires to hang wet clothes should not touch washing machines washing machine with wet hands and to stand on mat while pressing clothes.
Chief Executive, Pesco Brigadier Sakhi Marjan requested people to report immediately to the concerned Pesco offices in case they see a damaged cable or pole.
He directed the technical staff of the company to take all precautionary measures while working on line. He urged the workers to avoid slackness and not to be over confidant and must work with proper T&P equipment. Power shutdown: Due to a Pesco maintenance work, power supply from 132 KV Shahi Bagh Grid Station will remain suspended on 11th August from 6 am to 10 am.
Furthermore, power supply from 132 KV Peshawar Fort Grid Station will also remain suspended on 10th August from 6.30 AM to 12 PM. Similarly, a shutdown will take place from 132 KV Nowshera Industrial Grid station on 10th & 13th August from 7 am to 11 am. In another Pesco maintenance job, the power supply from 132 KV Shabqadar Grid Station will be suspended on 9th, 11th, 13th, 16th August from 7 AM to 12 PM. However the consumers will receive electric supply after maintenance is completed.
