Industries resumed normal production on Saturday after remaining disturbed for two days due to heavy rains, power failures and thin attendance. Industrialists said that workers' attendance, which has dropped tremendously, have improved considerably due to improvement in availability of public transport.
Taking to Business Recorder, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) Chairman Masood Naqi said that the association received no complaint of power failure and poor attendance from its members.
He said that attendance of workers was almost 90 percent and industries were working on full swing. He pointed out that all multinational companies remained closed on Saturday as they observed two weekly holidays.
Federal "B" Area Association of Trade and Industry (FBAATI) Chairman Masroor Ahmed Alvi said all industries in the Federal "B" Area were running in full swing. He said although road in industrial area presented a river look, the workers turned up in big numbers and the production was almost normal.
