Stagnant rainwater hits trade activities: PYMA

The chairman, Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association (Sindh and Balochistan Zone), Shahabuddin Razzak, has requested City Nazim Mustafa Kamal to take notice of deteriorating sanitary situation after heavy rains of August 9 and 10, 2007.
In a statement, he said the areas around Latif Cloth Market, Alam Market, Textile Plaza at MA Jinnah Road were worst effected due to accumulation rain and sewerage water.
Most of the business offices at ground floors are completely submerged with stagnant rainwater. He demanded urgent measures to remove this stagnant water as it has become a serious nuisance for business community.
