Chile under-20 international Jaime Grodona was banned for nine months by soccer's governing body FIFA on Wednesday after being found guilty of assaulting match officials during the under-20 World Cup finals in July.
Nigeria under-20 coach Laden Bosso was also banned from all football-related activities for four months for what FIFA described as "offensive behaviour" towards English referee, Howard Webb during the same tournament in Canada.
Grodona, a grand nephew of FIFA senior vice-president and Argentina FA president Julio Grondona, was fined 11,000 Swiss francs ($9,046) over his actions during Chile's semi-final defeat to Argentina.
"In addition, the Chilean football association has been fined 15,000 Swiss francs for the aggressive actions directed towards the match officials by Chilean players and officials," FIFA said in a statement.
Bosso was banned and fined 11,000 Swiss francs over his comments following his side's quarter-final loss to Chile in which he accused Webb of racism in his decision-making.
