Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 112,982 tonnes cargo including 79,389 tonnes import, 33,593 tonnes export cargo and 3,675 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 80,674 tonnes dry cargo including 43,920 tonnes general cargo; 11,500 tonnes coal; 6,874 tonnes cement; 18,380 tonnes clinker and 32,308 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely APL Sokhna, Leopard, Makran, Satha Bhum, Chemstar Brave and BL Saida sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Harmony, APL Sokhna, Y M Moon, Leopard and MT Johar are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Lucky Arrow, Y M Moon and Federal ST Laurent expected to sail on Thursday, while five vessels viz BBC Thailand, Oriental Rose, Song Shan, MT Johar and OEL Spirit are expected to sail on Friday.
Four vessels viz Gem of Goa, Ibrahim G, Al-Maqwa and Conti Harmony due to arrive on Thursday, while three ships namely Vema Ocean, Havl Trader and Sp 5-Eric G Gibson are due to arrive on Friday.

Five ships namely CV MSC Borneo, CV Nedlloyd America, CV ACX Mimosa, MT Pegasus-7 and MT Oriental Miho sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of three ships namely Sima Pride, Liquid Success and Lauren carrying containers and edible oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Nedlloyd America, CV MSC Borneo, CV Mimosa, MV Sinai, MV Sahd Wan Island, MT Pegasus-7 MT Oriental Miho and MV Multan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil chemicals and iron ore respectively during the report period. Three vessels viz CV Pachico, CV Sima Pride and MT Lauren due to take berths at Container Terminal and Multipurpose Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Two vessels viz KIA Waleed and Chem Cosmos with container and edible oil due to arrive on Thursday, while two more container ships namely Cap Arkitas and Maersk Novazzano are due to arrive on Friday.
