Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Housing and Construction Sub-committee, Munir Sultan demanded that total control of the city should be handed over to City Nazim. He criticised working of the Cantonment Boards and said that the areas come under their control presenting a devastated look. Encroachments on its peak, roads are damaged and no sewerage system exists, he alleged.
He lauds the role of Chief Controller, Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) Raoof Akhtar Farooqi who made tremendous efforts to control unauthorised construction in the city.
