Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 76,832 tonnes cargo including 52,232 tonnes import, 24,600 tonnes export cargo and 1,514 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 40,090 tonnes dry cargo including 28,697 tonnes general cargo; 4,900 tonnes coal; 6,493 tonnes cement and 36,742 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely MT Johar, Iran Sattari, Shong Shan, Conti Harmony, Hyundai Sprinter and BBC Thailand sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Kota Gunawan, Heng Cheng, Ibrahim G, Al-Maqwa, Gem of Goa and Sider Blu are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Jaikur III and Caela expected to sail on Saturday, while five vessels viz Kota Gunawan, Jade Trader, Al-Maqwa, Gem of Goa and Sider Blu are expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Jade Trader and Sp 5-Eric G Gibson due to arrive on Saturday, while six ships namely Havi Trader, Conti Germany, Hanjin Ningbo, Nikat, Asian Queen and LTB Thunder Lightning are due to arrive on Sunday. Six ships namely Chem Cosmos, MOL Ability, Pu He, Viking Merlin, Kapitan Byankin and Pacific Arrow are due to arrive on Monday.
