The popular classical, semi-classical and ghazal singer died young of a heart attack on April 8, 2007 in London and was laid to rest in Mominpura Graveyard in Lahore, private news channel reported.
Asad was born in Lahore on September 25, 1955 and was son of famous musician Ustad Amanat Ali Khan.
He started his musical career performing "Thumri" and then went on to record some of his most popular numbers and Ghazals. He recorded his first song at the age of 10, which featured on his grandfather s debut album.
Over a span of 32 years (1975 to 2007), the singing maestro sang a multitude of songs for television, film and radio.
