Indian bond and currency markets are closed on Monday for a local holiday, but stock and commodity markets are open. On Friday, the partially convertible rupee rebounded from a half-percent fall to 41.71 to end at 41.33/34 per dollar, a shade firmer than 41.36/37 at Thursday's close.
The 10-year federal bond yield eased to 7.99 percent on Friday from 8.04 percent on Thursday. Trading resumes on Tuesday.
