University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has equipped the university teachers and administrative staff with most modern skills for the preparation of various PC-1 and successful implementations of the research project.
Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, UAF said this during addressing the concluding ceremony of 3-day project planning (PC-1 preparation) workshop conducted by P&D section of the university in collaboration with Planning Commission and Pakistan Planning and Management Institute (PPMI) in STC hall here on Monday.
He stressed on utilising the latest computer software's in a bid to present any research or development proposal to national and international funding agencies in a most impressing and convincing manner.
"I strongly felt that the necessity of capacity building of all those teachers, P&D professionals and treasurers office stakeholders who are directly or indirectly involved in project preparation, appraisal, implementation, monitoring & evaluation," he added.
He hoped that public sector organisations and other relevant officers would equip themselves with technical skills offered by PPMI to dispose off various research an developmental projects in a most appropriate manner.
Dr Bashir Ahmad urged the faculty to participate in such workshops so that they could present their proposals by proficient use of MS Project and MS Excel for getting the projects approved by concerned funding agencies.
He appreciated the organisers in general and member planning commission Talib Hussain, programme officer Attiq-ur-Rehman, Waqas Ahmad of PPMI, in particular, for entertaining our request for arranging such beneficial workshop for faculty, administrative and other staff of the university.
Director P&D, UAF Tariq Javed elaborated different aspects of workshop while Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir gave practicable suggestions for arranging such workshops in future.
