The after-tax profit of New Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited increased to Rs 28.175 million in the half-year period ended on June 30, 2007, as compared to Rs 25.106 million earned in the corresponding period of last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting on Wednesday declared that the earning per share of the company surged to Rs 0.45 in the period under review, against Rs 0.40 in the same period of last year.
In an information sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) it was stated that the company's total revenue increased to Rs 1,861.242 million in the six-month period in 2007 against Rs 1,045.765 million in the same period of last year.
On the other hand, company's expenses increased to Rs 1,794.779 million in this period against Rs 1,013.515 million previously. The company's profit before tax was Rs 43.175 million in the first half of 2007 against Rs 27.231 million in the same period in 2006.
